About the Missouri League

Who we are:

The Missouri Interscholastic Cycling League was founded in 2018 as a non-profit (501(c)3) Project League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA).

What we do:

We facilitate the development of high school and middle school teams/clubs for grades 6-12 and provide the education, training, licensing, and insurance for coaches and volunteers. We also produce high-quality mountain bike events and races that emphasize the value of participation, camaraderie, positive sporting behavior, and well-being over competition.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment for students to experience the sport of mountain biking and be part of a thriving and engaged community. We strive to make the program accessible to as many kids as possible and to provide the best possible experience for our community! #MOkidsonbikes

Missouri League Vision:

Improving the lives of Missouri’s youth and communities through cycling.

Our Mission:

To provide high quality, safe and fun mountain bike programs for Missouri’s youth, exposing students to the opportunity to build strong body, mind, and character through an equal and inclusive scholastic-based program.

Each season is packed with incredible programs for everyone

  • Team Practices: The foundation of the NICA experience with local practices with local friends at local parks and trails.
  • GRiT (Girls Riding Together): Empowering female student-athletes and coaches to make their mark, on or off the bike.
  • Teen Trail Corps: As mountain bikers, the trails are our playground. TTC program provides opportunities to get involved in trail maintenance efforts and advocacy for increased trail access.
  • Really Awesome Challenging Events (RACEs): Our epic September and October events bring teams together to race, build community, and celebrate the best parts of mountain biking at world-class venues around Missouri.
